Born to Create emerged from decades of working across creativity, education, leadership, facilitation, art, and complex systems - noticing the same patterns appearing everywhere.
The same patterns kept appearing.
✧ In learning.
✧ In parenting.
✧ In leadership.
✧ In building businesses.
✧ In navigating uncertainty.
✧ In becoming ourselves.
The terrain changed. The process did not.
“Creativity often emerges most powerfully in the presence of a problem.”
No matter the arena the process kept repeating:
-
CURIOSITY ⟶
Something pulls our attention
-
UNCERTAINTY ⟶
We enter the unknown
-
EXPLORATION ⟶
We gather information
-
EXPERIMENTATION ⟶
We test and discover
-
DISCOVERY ⟶
New patterns emerge
-
COMMITMENT ⟶
We choose direction
-
REFINEMENT ⟶
We shape the work

EXPRESSION
We bring it into the world
What began emerging was both a personal practice and a larger vision:
⟶ a living ecosystem exploring creativity not simply as artistic expression, but as a way of learning, relating, solving problems, adapting to change, and participating more fully in the world.
Creation is in the very fabric of our being.
✧ We wake up and shape our days.
✧ We solve problems.
✧ We navigate relationships and uncertainty.
✧ We imagine possibilities and build lives.
✧ Creation is not separate from everyday life.
✧ In many ways, it is everyday life.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
At the heart of this work is a living creative process - a framework exploring how ideas move from curiosity into reality.
⟶ 1. START
Every creative process begins with a moment of movement - an idea, a feeling, a question, a spark of curiosity. Often small and uncertain, this is the moment we choose to begin before we fully know where something will lead.
⟶ 2. CHAOS & INFORMATION
Soon after beginning, we often enter a space of complexity, overwhelm, gathering, and uncertainty. Information arrives from many directions. Rather than a sign that something is wrong, this phase is often a natural part of making sense of what wants to emerge.
⟶ 3. FOLLOW YOUR INTRIGUE
Curiosity becomes a compass. Certain ideas, questions, images, or possibilities begin pulling our attention more strongly than others. Following intrigue helps guide us toward energy, aliveness, and unexpected discovery.
⟶ 4. EXPLORE
This is the phase of experimentation, play, testing, learning, and trying things out. Not everything will work, and that is part of the process. Exploration creates the conditions for new perspectives, insights, and possibilities to appear.
⟶ 5. DISCOVER
Patterns begin to emerge. Connections become clearer. Something meaningful starts revealing itself beneath the uncertainty. Discovery often arrives gradually - through attention, experimentation, and staying in relationship with the process.
⟶ 6. COMMIT
At some point, we choose direction. Commitment asks us to move beyond possibility alone and begin shaping something more intentionally. This phase requires trust, courage, focus, and the willingness to continue even without guarantees.
⟶ 7. LABOUR OF LOVE
Ideas deepen through sustained care, effort, refinement, and devotion. This phase is often less visible, yet it is where much of the real transformation happens. What matters here is not perfection, but continued relationship with the work.
⟶ 8. RELEASE & SHARE
Eventually, the work leaves the private space of becoming and enters relationship with others. Sharing can feel vulnerable, imperfect, exciting, or uncertain - yet expression is part of completing the creative cycle.
⟶ 9. BEGIN AGAIN
Every ending becomes the beginning of something new. Reflection creates space for renewal, integration, and continued growth. The creative process is not linear or final - it is a living cycle we move through again and again throughout life.
Rather than seeing uncertainty, chaos, or experimentation as signs of failure, this process understands them as natural stages of creation itself.
